Developments and changes in Turkish political life in the Republican period will be analyzed from historical and theoretical perspective.

Historical continuity and ruptures observed in the developments and changes in Turkish political life in the Republican period; the establishment of the Republican regime, the events leading to the establishment of the One-Party government, the experience of the transition to multi-party political life and the political blockages that interrupt this process, the process leading to the 1960 military coup, the political developments that marked the period between 1960-80, the 1980 military coup and political conditions in the following period, the changes in the Turkish party system from the 1990s to the present will be discussed with the political, economic, social and international dimensions
